Join Our 21 Day Challenge

With the kids back in school, routines are changing, and fall slowly rolling in, we find September is a great time for a reset of our health!

So, we decided to create the DHCC 21 Day Challenge.

We created this with you in mind. The most common health goals are wanting to eat better, move more, and connect deeper with loved ones. This is designed to help jumpstart a routine that will get the ball moving in the direction of your health goals.

So here is what the challenge consists of:

  1. Eat clean! This one is the one we are getting the most questions on. Let’s define this. Eating clean is cutting foods that do not serve you and consuming foods that have higher vibrations. This means limiting or cutting processed foods and unhealthy sugar! There is no use for these substances. Instead, focus on feeding your body vegetables, fruit, high quality meat, and fermented foods. There is some room here for you to modify. If you work better with more rules and outlines, feel free to set your own boundaries that work for you. We encourage you to start with adding more healthy foods and less processed/chemical filled foods.

  2. Move for 45 minutes. Movement is vital to our health. Can it be hard to start, initially? YES! But movement is your life force. We decided for this part of the challenge, it does not have to be a formal exercise. We just want to see you move your body in a way that feels good for at least 45 minutes. This can be walking, weight lifting, swimming, roller blading, pickleball, yoga, stretching…whatever feels good to you. We also find people are more likely to get moving when they invite a friend.

  3. Drink 8 cups of water a day. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. We cannot say this enough! Most people are mildly dehydrated. Our organs and entire body function better when we are well hydrated. Break out your favorite water bottle, and get hydrated. You are more than welcome to drink more, but you must at least drink 8 glasses a day.

  4. Read 10 pages a day. One of the best ways we can grow ourselves, spiritually, mentally, and personally is to read. Reading opens worlds up to us, gives us new perspectives, motivates us, and can even help us heal. Support your local bookstore and treat yourself to a new read. You never know what you might discover.

  5. Journal / Reflect for 10 minutes a day (at least.) We live in a fast pace world, where all we do is go go go. Slowing down and taking time to reflect helps us immensely. Journaling helps us track our progress and growth, decreases anxiety and stress, and helps strengthen memory. Our favorite benefit is that it inspires creativity.
