“Will it hurt? I want to try chiropractic but I am nervous!”

We hear this on a regular basis when we are out in the community.

The truth is, it is normal to feel nervous about something that you have never tried. More and more people are trying chiropractic and getting great results. We are sure you are looking to get those same results…less pain, more vitality, and all without medication or surgery.

We understand. We love chiropractic, but we also know that there are a lot of curiosity on the experience.

So let’s dig in.

“Will it hurt when I try chiropractic?”

For a majority of people, no. We deliver a first time adjustment to a lot of patients. We are so honored to be trusted with this experience. What we see is that most of these people giggle and smile after their first neck adjustment. Kids and adults alike find it an enjoyable experience.

Why the giggles? Because when we adjust you, endorphins are released and blood flows to an area that was restricted. It feels good and people start to look forward to their adjustments.

Visiting a chiropractor is not like other doctors. It is often fun! It is about reaching your health goals and feeling great. We become a support system for you and your health.

What about the minority of people? Well for some, it does not hurt them, but they are sore after their first few adjustments. It often is a soreness like going to the gym.

This happens when someone has a lot of inflammation in an area for a long time. When we release the tension in that area, the muscles protecting it get to relax after working so hard. So they are sore. The soreness they feel is not experienced after most adjustments.

Current patients state that adjustments are a wonderful experience.
